Glucosamine sulfate + chondroitine sulfate – A preparation with substantial regenerative and chondroprotective (cartilage protection) effects.
Glucosamine sulfate and chondroitine sulfate are natural components of cartilage tissue and synovial liquid. Chondroitine sulfate features its capability to bind water in tissues, thus assuring proper cartilage function, its strength, flexibility and resistance. The mechanism of action of both substances is the same: protection of articular cartilage. It features substantial mitigation of articular problems, improved motility and retardation, or even suppression of articular deterioration processes, without any serious side effects. In this way, the preparation improves physical condition of horses. Its administration to horses assures a good motility , even of aged animals.

ALAVIS™ DUAL is flavoured with high-quality apple pectine, no colouring agents and conservants! The preparation is available as loose powder substance and the horses like it very much!
Period of administration: optimally, three months.

Clinical effects:
In clinical studies ALAVIS™ DUAL was administered, for prevention purposes, to young horses in extremely intensive training preparation for performance tests and also to horses with articular diseases and for post-traumatic treatment. In horses in post-traumatic treatment, the improvement (after 8 weeks of administration) and disappearance of troubles (after 12 weeks of administration) has been demonstrated. In horses with similar troubles, without ALAVIS™ DUAL therapy, the time of improvement was much longer. The horses taking ALAVIS™ DUAL coped with their heavy training load without any problems and their fitness for performance tests was excellent..
